Agroecology Partnership

Co-funded by the Horizon Europe program for research and innovation, the European Agroecology Partnership aims to structure and support a network of living labs and research infrastructures that will accelerate the transition to agroecology across Europe.

The Horizon Europe program has launched a series of schemes called "Partnerships" to implement research and innovation programs, and to co-finance calls for projects on a given theme. The Agroecology Partnership offers long-term, territory-specific, multi-actor, real-life experimentation and research activities on agroecology at European and national levels.

Over a 7-year period, it brings together 70 partners, including 5 regions.  At the scale of the region of Pays de la Loire, Végépolys Valley is one of the partners, mainly involved in project communication. The project is directed by the German research center in Jülich and co-directed by the National Agency for Reasearch (ANR-France).

Co-funding from the Region will be targeted at local economic players. The theme of soil organic matter content, in conjunction with the Regional Plan for quantitative water management, will be a particular focus.
